Coaches

We encourage anyone interested in coaching to volunteer. All of our coaches volunteer and they are our club’s most important asset. If you would like to coach, please do the following:

1. If you did not volunteer to coach soccer (aka “Team Admin”) when you registered your child to play, then you need to REGISTER HERE. Use the same email/password that you used to register your child.
2. DOWNLOAD the SAY soccer volunteer form and bring the completed form to the coaches’ meeting.
3. Attend the MANDATORY SOCCER COACHES MEETING, March 3rd, 2012. Info is below.

Coaches are required to attend the soccer coaches’ meeting. You’ll receive a brief orientation on the season and tournament, clinics, events, and your team roster.

The meetings are split into three sections by divisions so that we can tailor the discussion to the special needs of each group. If you’re coaching a team in both groups, you only need to attend one meeting.

Royal Hall is located on the Northwest corner of E. 52nd St. and Rockhill Rd. between Haag Hall and Manheim Hall.

Times by Division:

8:00-9:30 - 3rd grade and older
9:30-10:30 – 1st & 2nd grade divisions
10:30-11:30 – Kindergarten & Pre-K

Recruit your friends, we always need more volunter coaches. – All of our coaches are volunteers and we always need more. To register to coach email the division coordinator for the division in which you’d like to coach.

NSCAA Convention is this week Wednesday, January 11th – Sunday, January 15th at Bartle Hall.

They are offering a weekend pass which includes: access to exhibit hall and the demos/lectures beginning at 2pm on Friday and going through Sunday.

It is $150 on-site for members and $235 on-site for non-members.

Coaching Clinics

Clinic for Third Grade through High School division coaches:
When: Saturday, March 3rd from 9:50am to 10:50am
Where: UMKC: Durwood Soccer Stadium (E. 51st St. and Cherry St.) on the UMKC Campus

Clinic for Pre-K, Kindergartend, 1st and 2nd Grade division coaches:
When: Monday, March 26th time TBD
